I Guess It Was HFMD Afterall

yes, you 'read' me right. i guess adam was infected with HFMD in last 2 weeks afterall. sebelum ni bila doc cakap 'MAYBE' dia alergic to the antibiotics, i was so convinced (taknak fikir yang bukan2 pon sama..). pastu tak teringat lak nak gugel camner rupa & what are the symptoms of the disease. bila dah gugel, OMG! sejibik sejibon macam blister kat kaki, tangan & mulut adam! skang ni alhamdulillah dah clear semua scars. untung jadi baby sebab skin cells development lebih cepat dari adults. hehe...

skang ni taska adam tengah tutup since last thursday sebab ada 2-3 budak lagi kena infection. jangkit dari adam kot ;p tapi adam pon jangkit dari budak lain yang kena sebelum dia. ngeh. sibaik my MIL datang sini since last wed sebab aku kena attend workshop di Jitra for 2 days. takyahla aku amek cuti jaga adam. tapi MIL dah nak balik KL esok, by hook or by crook terpaksa la aku amek cuti gak esok. tsk! jangan mare yer bos... *wink* *wink*

ouh, here are some info on HFMD. thanks to mr wiki ;p

Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a human syndrome caused by intestinal viruses of the Picornaviridae family. The most common strains causing HFMD are Coxsackie A virus and Enterovirus 71 (EV-71).

HFMD usually affects infants and children, and is quite common. It is moderately contagious and is spread through direct contact with the mucus, saliva, or feces of an infected person. It typically occurs in small epidemics in nursery schools or kindergartens, usually during the summer and autumn months. The usual incubation period is 3–7 days.

  • Symptoms of HFMD include:
    Fever
    Headache
    Vomiting
    Fatigue
    Malaise (as in malas? ;p)
    Referred ear pain
    Sore throat
    Painful oral lesions
Non-itchy body rash, followed by sores with blisters on palms of hands and soles of feet
    Oral ulcer
Sores or blisters may be present on the buttocks of small children and infants
    Irritability in infants and toddlers
    Loss of appetite
    Diarrhea
The common incubation period (the time between infection and onset of symptoms) is from three to seven days. Early symptoms are likely to be fever often followed by a sore throat. Loss of appetite and general malaise may also occur. Between one and two days after the onset of fever, painful sores (lesions) may appear in the mouth and/or throat. A rash may become evident on the hands, feet, mouth, tongue, inside of the cheeks, and occasionally the buttocks (but generally, the rash on the buttocks will be caused from the diarrhea.)

huh...memang semua simptom ada kat adam except oral ulcer & oral lesions. sebab tu doc tak detect dia kena disease tu. hmm....takpelah, janji skang dia dah sihat walafiat & ceria sokmo. hehehe...

aku malas nak amek pic adam masa kena tu. bukan apa, sian lak. anak tengah sakit tapi mak jadi papparazi lak. kih3...kalau nak tengok rupa HFMD ni camner, silalah gugel yer ;p
